Finca La Granja

Finca La Granja (the Farmouse) - La Granja is one of the few remaining Canarian Farmhouses in the centre of the Island of Lanzarote. It is a spacious 900 plus square metres (3,000 square feet), high ceilinged, old house which was lovingly restored by an artist to modern standards of comfort. The large earth-floored terrace was tiled and the ancient eucalyptus trees given some tender loving care so that guests can sit out at the teak table for 10 in the dappled shade.

The original outside stone staircase for access to the master bedroom is still in place – though sadly the balcony at the top is too old to be used every day.

The house sits in over 4,000 square metres (one acre) of land at the top of the little village of Montana Blanca looking down the valley to the sea, six kilometres (nearly four miles) away. It is entered through double gates up a short driveway and on to a level parking area for up to ten cars.

The proprietor, Paul, lives in a cottage adjoining the main house but it is entirely separate from La Granja. He first moved to Lanzarote in 1999.

Paul will pick from/or deliver to, the airport. He will advise on rental cars, restaurants, places of interest or bookings for sports – golf, tennis, horse riding, wind-surfing, paragliding, rambling, cycling, swimming and sailing. The island is an athlete’s paradise. The cycling stage of the Ironman in Lanzarote does on occasions pass our gates.
